July 2, 2022 Vass Lions Club
The Vass Lions Club partnered with the Society of St. Andrews once again went corn picking on Saturday July 2nd!
Tricia Lounsberry of the Society of St. Andrews contacted farms local to the Vass Club & arranged for a gleaning event at White Hill Farms in Carthage, NC.
The farm allowed the gleaners to pick corn on a 2-acre field.
Even though it was the 4th of July weekend. 14 Vass Lions, family members & friends showed up to help with the service project.
With so many helping hands 1,303 pounds of corn was picked in a little under one hour.
The Vass Lions will donate all the corn to the Vass Baptist Church Pantry for distribution.
