Juanita joined the Siler City Lions Club in February 2015. She served as club president from 2017-2019, and as club treasurer since 2020, and as Zone 10 Chair for three years. As president, she organized the club’s first Run To See 5K. Lion Juanita has been awarded Dr. Lacy and Esther Presnell VIP Ambassador Award, Zone Excellence and received an International President’s Certificate of Appreciation. She is a certified KidSight screener and a certified Guiding Lion.
Lion Juanita is a Phi Theta Kappa Honor graduate of Randolph Community College where she earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree. She is a graduate of High Point University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Information Systems. Juanita served as church secretary for over 20 years and as a past President of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Professional Association of United Methodist Church Secretaries (PAUMCS). She is a founding member of the New Hope Community Fellowship in Archdale, NC where she manages the church’s web page and serves as chief communion steward.
Lion Juanita served the State of North Carolina for 32 years, with over 15 years as a Driver’s License supervisor. She completed the North Carolina Department of Transportation Legacy Leader Program for Leading Others and The Leading Managers Program, earning a Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification.
Juanita is passionate about learning new opportunities to serve. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, working in her yard, and spending time with her family and friends. She is Mom to two children and Grandma to six grandchildren.
