ROBERT “BOB” GWYN

Greensboro Host Lions Club
Lion Bob joined the Greensboro Host Lions Club in March 1990 and has served there continuously since that time. He was Club President in 1997-98 and in 2017-18. He is entering his eighth year as Club Secretary.
He served as District 31-O Cabinet Secretary from July 2020 thru June 2024. Lion Bob has also served multiple terms in District 31-D as Zone Chair, Region Chair and Chairman of Agencies for the Deaf & Blind. He has also served as Diabetes Chair.
Bob is the recipient of many Club, District and International Awards. He is humbled to have received so many and he is honored to serve his community and especially the Blind and Visually Impaired citizens.
Lion Bob is a 1972 graduate of North Carolina A & T State University with a BS degree in Industrial Technology. He spent 40 years in the field of manufacturing including 24 years at Industries of the Blind, Inc in Greensboro, NC before he retired from there in 2013. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran and served four years from June 1964-June 1968. He and his wife Bettie have been married for 48 years and have two daughters, Kelly and Ashley.

Sanford Lions Club
Lion Keith Gallagher is a retired US Army Brigadier General who led healthcare systems and hospitals in peacetime and combat, delivering quality healthcare and service excellence to hundreds of thousands of service members, veterans and family members. His first duty assignment was the elite 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC where he commanded an airborne medical company supporting the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
He holds the Master Parachutist Badge and is an Army Jumpmaster. His greatest military accomplishment involved the intense collaboration with trauma surgeons and hospital leaders to build the first ever in Iraq (2004) trauma registry that yielded a 94% survival rate of thousands of combat/noncombat trauma.
In 2012, he retired and led a 301 licensed bed, safety net hospital in South Florida, a multi-group practice in Raleigh, and a $13M portfolio of clinical studies with a half dozen clients served by our life sciences organization. He retired in 2022 and currently serves as the Secretary of Operation Motorsport to provide therapeutic recovery through motorsport for disabled Veterans; and he led the Sanford Area Veteran Coffees to foster support and share information for Veterans. Keith is an active Lion with the Sanford Lions Club (Joined 2017) and participates in the annual golf tournament and regional fair. He is the club’s immediate past president and currently chair of the membership committee.
His hobbies include travel, military history, physical training and golf. He is married to Sandra Miller, and they have three children and three grandchildren.
Lion Keith will take office as 2nd Vice District Governor on January 1, 2026.
